I am obsessed with shabby chic so I really wanted to base this room off of that. Then one day while I was looking at rooms on here I came acrossed one that had this very same map in their nursery and I fell in love with it! I asked her where she had got it and so very kindly told me! My husband teaches social studies so we thought this would be really fun to have in his room. The room is very small so I had to be carefull with such a large map not to go over board with any other print. I love pastel greens and blues and also taupe. I think they brought the room all together perfect and we couldnt be more happy with the way it turned out.
Design Inspiration
Vintage of course! I wanted the look of old in his room, vintage is so fun and can also be a very budget friendly way to create the nursery you want.
Decorating Style
Once again...Vintage- I love vintage and the way it looks, even if its brand new I want to make it look old!

Antique store, Etsy and thrift stores really helped me create this room!
Favorite Items
My favorite item is the bedding and the "you are my sunshine" sign. The bedding is from Matteo and is amazing, I got the sign off of Etsy, she also did the letter S for us.
Advice
Etsy is a great place to find a lot of the things you need to complete the room. Also yard sales are perfect! You can find so much furniture and can re-do almost anything to match the style you want!

I too am kinda obsessed with shabby chic furniture and accents. There's just a different kind of charm to them. I like the rocking chair. I have a similar one at home and it's my favorite piece in my room.

I am sure that baby of yours will either grow up loving geography or loving travel. Love the "You are my sunshine" sign and the letter S too. I also like the kiwi green accents dotting the room.
