Description
Alessio's mom was non-negotiable when it came to the use of bold colours. The colour black was the basis to work from and the outcome guided us to this combination of red, black red and white.
Design Inspiration
This contemporary and bold black and white nursery was inspired by NYC and the love for strong lines and striking colours.
Decorating Style
Modern- Contempo - edgy. We also have added metallics. A variety of chrome or brushed stainless steel ornaments found their way into our hands throughout the pregnancy as well as along our travels around the world. We were able to use them to finish the nursery off with a touch of shine.
Project Details
The baby cot and compactum furniture was custom designed by Baby Gaga Decor SA. The cot bedding was also custom designed by Baby Gaga Decor SA
Favorite Items
The compactum dresser, the clean white colour is so fresh, I also love the modern-retro curvy structure which just reminded me of a furniture piece from the 70's...brought to the future:-)
Advice
Strong contrasting colours are not easy to take on for the nursery, we are easily swayed to the softer, more conventional look and feel. I took the decision to go this way, because the colours carry plenty positive attributes and also reflect my personality. I have no doubt that Alessio will love his special space too.
