Description
We have a clean & cozy nursery created on a budget waiting on our sweet girl to arrive.
Design Inspiration
Everything was centered around her bedding that I found super cheap & unexpectedly at TJ Maxx! Can't beat $60. Who would have thought?!
Decorating Style
Clean & cozy.
Project Details
Aida's nursery letters were so easy to make and I was very pleased with how they turned out. I purchased white wooden letters from Michaels, cut & adhered coordinating scrapbook paper & decorated. So cute & cheap! The old dresser was freshened up with a new coat of glossy white paint & new knobs. Her room is very small, so it's the perfect size.
Favorite Items
I have always loved the style of the Jenny Lind crib. We found it online for a good price and it's not too big for her small room. Plus, it has that old/new feel! The pillow I ordered from etsy.com also adds a personalized feel.
Advice
Books are easy accessories! I found so many at the local Good Will store. Just be sure to clean/disinfect.
thanks for all of the sweet comments! aida finally arrived and she is such a precious baby. i think she likes her room already :) i hot glued the ribbon to the back of the letters. be sure to tie the bow first so the ribbon lays in the right direction before you hot glue it. i hung each letter by the ribbon on a tiny nail. it was super easy! the diaper cakes were made by friends and given to me at my shower.
i LOVE this room! the letters are soooo cute and pretty! the colours are so welcoming and pretty! she’ll love it when she’s born! xx
It’s such a lovely play of colors. The room feels so bright, cheerful and optimistic with all the pinks, greens, blues, yellows, aquas, etc. I am sure yours will be a happy baby, being surrounded by all these happy colors.
Very colorful nursery. There’s plenty to keep our eyes busy. The diaper cakes look really cute, too. Did you get them from your baby shower?
Anyway, good luck on the delivery!
How did you attach the ribbon to the letters, and how did you hang them? I have letters and ribbon at home already but I’ve been going back and forth with how I should do it.
