Description
This was what we did prior to baby Adler being born. We painted the walls a dark gray. Re-purposed and painted an old dresser green to use for a changing table. Re finished the rocker with a simple coat of white paint. And to top it all off we made a magnetic chalk board wall behind the crib and trimmed it out to make it pop. Lastly added a few floating book shelves, a lamp, some accessories and a rug to match the color scheme and we now have a wonderful baby room!
Design Inspiration
Wanted to have a neutral room that we could add splashes of color to, as well as something he can grow into once the crib and rocking chair are gone.
Decorating Style
simple, clean and modern
Project Details
The only items that were purchased for this project was the pottery barn rug and the floating book shelves from home depot. The rocking chair was an unfinished piece given to us by a family member that we re-painted, and the now changing table got a re-fresh with some brightly colored paint.
Favorite Items
The magnetic chalk board wall for sure, is the best thing we did! It can be changed as often as you like!
Advice
Keep it simple and try to use as much stuff that you already have. Babies are expensive, room makeovers don't have to be.
Would love to know the name of this gray paint!
Yes agree, paint color is beautiful, what is it?

Please share the paint color!
Thanks! The paint was hard to get right. I’ll have to look for the exact color for ya’ll. We painted the room the first time and it came out purple/grey. So we had to re-paint and so glad we did. The rug is from pottery barn.
What is the wall color? So beautiful!
I like the simplicity of this room, and the fact that it’s filled with clean lines. I also love how you cut the monotony of white and grey with the green dresser.
Please share the paint color and source of the rug. I love what you have done!
