Adelaide’s Yellow and Gray Nursery

I wanted to design a nursery that wasn't too cutesy so that it would grow with Adelaide through the years. I also wanted it to be comfortable and soothing.

Design Inspiration

A friend of mine had a yellow and gray wedding which I thought was gorgeous so that inspired my color scheme. I also have a new found love for elephants so I threw some in for good measure!

Decorating Style

I am pretty practical when it comes to design. Furniture needs to be comfortable and functional not just pretty to look at!

Project Details

Wall Color: Behr, "Dolphin Fin"

Fabric: Waverly "Linen Bedazzle Silver Lining" "Sidewalk Stripe Silver Lining".

Crib: Sorelle City Lights,

Glider: Little Castle Valentino glider in Pebble Grey with custom piping (used the Waverly fabric).

Pouf: CB2 Knitted Pouf in Graphite

Dresser: Ikea Hemnes  with yellow polka dot knobs from Cost Plus

Daybed: Ikea Hemnes,

Artwork: and Etsy shop Nebulous Kingdom

Favorite Items

The fabric is my absolute favorite. It was the first thing I picked out and it all flowed from there. My mom made all of the bedding for the daybed and the crib so that is very special to me.

Don't spend a fortune on the crib. I spent the most on fabric which made  the biggest impact. I also add touches like new knobs to help make the dresser look more custom.

I love your chair, but it doesn't have the same arms as the Little Castle Valentino glider. Did you reupholster yourself?? I noticed there is no pleating

Fabulous nursery! Did your mother also make the gray coverlet on the day bed? If so, where did you find the fabric? Thanks!
