Description
The room already started out with the walls being painting with a sunkist yellow by Benjamin Moore. Then came the pottery barn bed with a pull out mattress below for guest and someday my child's sleepovers. We purchased the dresser at pottery barn kids with the thought that someday this will be a changing table with the purchase of a topper. The bed is in a neutral color with a shabby chic style. Once we new we were pregnant it was time to add the other elements.
Design Inspiration
I wanted a room that was playful and eclectic. I just began by building from one piece to another.
Decorating Style
eclectic/whimsical
Project Details
The crib was the focus piece. I really wanted a gray crib and there is only a select few out there. It is an Alma Papa crib by bloom Baby (http://www.bloombaby.com/home.php). I wanted to tie the grey together with the quilts and grey lumbar pillow on the Joya Rocker by Monte Design (http://www.montedesign.net/). This rocking chair not only looks great but it is super comfortable. The foot stool has storage space too. The rug in persimmon and cream is by Dwell studio. The orange is a great contrast with the grey.

Advice
Purchase one item and slowly build around that item. Have fun with colors but make sure you bring it all together in the end.

Hi - I love this nursery - where is the bookshelf from? That would work perfectly in our space! Thanks!

Yeah, the party at my crib sign is cute and funny. I also like those vintage looking bird artworks by the bed.
