A Rockin’ Nursery

Description

When we found out we were having a baby boy, I knew I wanted to incorporate a subtle guitar theme with the chevron pattern.  And I wanted to keep the color pattern some what muted and decided on white, gray, and aqua.

Design Inspiration

Pinterest and Project Nursery were my biggest sources of inspiration.  I started "pinning" ideas and soon had a vision and a plan for our baby's room.

Project Details

Favorite Items

The glider chair- the whole project cost about $40.  I had such a hard time deciding whether we could justify spending money on a brand new glider chair...and even if we did...what kind to buy.  But when a friend offered her glider for free- I knew we could give it a "overhaul" and make it a perfect match in the room.

Advice

Start planning early and buy items month by month so you are not overwhelmed with the cost.  Invest in quality pieces that you want to last for years.  We spent the most money on the dresser and I am so glad we did!  And get family members involved in projects as it makes the finished projects that more special!

The painted silhouettes of guitar necks and head stocks by the crib are cute.
