Description

This was a shower thrown for me by my fabulous friends to celebrate our 2nd child, and first baby girl.  It was the perfect, beautiful, intimate celebration, reflecting the colors of her nursery.  I have some pretty fabulous friends!

Design Inspiration

The shower was inspired by Gentry's nursery, and my love for all things girly!

Project Details

Wonderful food provided by The Doves Nest in Waxahachie, TX.  The  cupcakes were a last minute addition, as the original bakery couldn't fill the order.  Icing, Edible Work of Art out of Red Oak, TX provided the cupcakes that were as beautiful as they were tasty.  The cookies, cookie favors, and oreo truffles, as well as all of the signage for the party were made for me by the shower hostess, and wonderful friend, Betsy.

Elle,

Hi Elle, My friend just made them from scratch. Unfortunately, she doesn't sell them. I am not sure where she got the goody bags, but I think you can just purchase them from any craft supply store, and I think I've even seen them at Target.

Everything looks so delectable! The oreo truffles, the strawberries and walnuts, the spinach salad, the cupcakes, the fruit kebabs, the sugar cookies, and the tamale bites! Mouthwatering goodness! I wish I were there!

Florence Amber,

Hi Florence, No, her nursery is just pink, black and white, no real theme. It's on the project gallery as well! Thanks for looking!

The colors and the monograms -- especially those monogrammed cupcakes -- remind me of Barbie. Is Gentry's nursery Barbie-themed?
