A modern nursery with soothing gray walls accented with navy blue and citron green. A mix of different prints was also used to make the room "pop"
I didn't want typical nursery covered in blue or use a theme that you would find at a big name baby store. Pinterest was a great site to find and organize items I liked.
I love taking on a project myself. Nothing is more satisfying than seeing a project from start to finish. My style is modern, but I want every room to still feel relaxing.
I purchased the bedding, pillows, and alligator print are from Etsy. The crib is from Ikea and the dressers were from friends which we refinished.
There is also a music box in the shape of crib on the dresser that my mom gave to me at my shower. It was given to my grandmother (who recently passed away) before the birth of my mom. The piece is almost 60 years old and it makes me feel like she is watching over us.
I love the bedding! The fact that its handmade and it has William's name on the bumper makes it feel extra special.
Always keep your eyes open for good finds. One of my first purchases was the lamp. I loved the citron color and knew when I saw the lamp that it would be a main color in the nursery.
It’s actually on the tall dresser. He loves listening to the music from it before bed :)
Nice story on the crib-shaped music box. Too bad there’s no photo of it here. I would have loved to see what it looks like. I love heirloom pieces. That’s one of the first things I try to take note when checking out posts here.
Love the masculine colors and design. It’s really fitting for a little guy!
