Description
I wanted a room that was bright, but not shocking. Sticking with colors vs. a theme (like animals or a place), the goal of the room is to grow with little Arwen and hopefully transition well with the rest of the house. For those who are looking to be a bit cost senstive: The total for this room was well under 1200 dollars (crib and everything)
Design Inspiration
A lot of postings on projectnursery helped me create the theme, but considering most of the people had pretty big budgets, I had to cut somethings or find lower cost substitutions (which helped bring out my creative side). I added it up and I think I spent around 1200 on the whole room (I included items that were gifts in that total as well).
Decorating Style
I suppose contemporary/chic, but my taste really varies. The room has some vintage items (like the night stand) and newer items with cleaner edges (like the crib). If I like it, I'll make it work.

Favorite Items
Probably the rocking chair area, I love the colors and the view you have when sitting there. I also love the prints-those took me FOREVER to decide on, but I'm very happy with them.
Advice
Enjoy Etsy. I love the fact that there are items in my nursery that I know no one else will have (like the night stand and the bunting).

Love the color palette you used for this room. It gives off a soothing and relaxing effect and just makes you wanna close your eyes and go to sleep.
