Laken Elaine’s Coastal Nursery

When it came to designing our first baby girl room – I wanted a nursery that matched my husband and I’s personality/style and offered a neutral canvas for the possible next baby.  The colors I chose were Turquoise, peach and coral – with burlap accents.  Laken means “lady of the lake” so we wanted to bring in the calming elements of the sea to surround her.  I spent a long time thrifting and DIY crafting to make this room unique.

Sunshine and Stripes DIY Aqua Nursery

A cheerful nursery filled with DIY projects because we wanted to put a touch of love and creativity into maximizing this small space for our baby girl. I’ve never really been a fan of traditional pinks, purples, or themes in nurseries, so I chose some fun colors and textures to make it unique. Saving a spot above the crib for the Top Secret name . . . coming soon!

Hot Pink and Turquoise Nursery for Emma Gwendolyn

From the moment I knew I was pregnant, I had a feeling I was having a girl. When it was confirmed at 18 weeks that in fact I was having a girl, I went to town. It’s funny that I am not a Pink person myself, but I just loved the look of hot pink and turquoise with gray. Slowly but surely it all came together and now Emma has a place that hopefully she will grow up in. I wanted to put together a room that wouldn’t be just for her infant years, and I think (hope) I have succeeded.
