Sawyer’s Nursery

Sawyer’s nursery was a BIG challenge. His room was originally an office, 10×10 with 22 ft. ceilings, pocket doors, and no windows nor a closet. My 2 biggest obstacles were creating storage space and breaking up the wall space, vertically. We created a warm, neutral nursery with different accents instead of creating a theme. I did a lot of the projects myself, and found inspiration from this website.

Baby Landon’s Owl Nursery

Since I’m going to be a single mom, I decided it was best to live with my parents at their house.  They were nice enough to let me have a room in the house to create a nursery in.  Somehow almost everything in the nursery turned into a DIY project and my mom and I have been working for the last several months to get everything together.  She’s very creative and talented at sewing and has helped bring out my crafty side as well! Designing the nursery has been an experience I will always treasure because it truly brought my mom and I closer. :)

Phoenix’s Aqua and Orange Nursery

I created an aqua and orange nursery for our baby boy, Phoenix, using modern furniture and animal decor. I can’t get enough of the owl theme, so I included a lot of owls, but tried to tone it down for my hubby. Although I wish I was, I am not a do it yourselfer; instead I scoured the internet to find what I wanted. Some tidbits: I fell in love with the two tone furniture. The french and english bulldog artwork look exactly like our dogs, He-man and She-ra. The Phoenix decal above the dresser was my hubby’s addition to the room. You can’t see it well, but the print above the bookshelf is of San Francisco, which is close to where my husband and I lived when we first met. I copied the P in the orange frame from another project nursery profile, Vera’s nursery, where she had it in yellow. Oh, and that glider is expensive, but it’s the most comfortable one on the planet and it’s cute.
