Aurora’s room
This nursery is for my Aurora. I wanted a Pooh room but hubby wanted Snow White to be there too. It took me about two months to finish the mural but totally worth it. These pictures were taken before we put all the furnitures in.

This lil pirate is 6 weeks old. Two walls had a pirate scene with cannonballs being launched and two walls had a treasure map. NYC always has interesting spaces to work with. I camouflaged the closet and made it part of the mural. Visually it enlarged the room. The furniture included the crib, changing table and a bookcase.
Cute room with an owl motif. Very sweet bedding and colors in the room. I decided to paint a swirling vine border around the room to tie the colors together and add interest on the walls.
A pink, turquoise and light blue tropical oasis! I love the pink glow of this room. I also feel like my little Willow can spend many years in this room.
Bright, happy, feminine, & fun all describe London’s big girl room
A gender neutral nursery featuring green rolling hills, monkeys, and birds.
Nursery with an elephant theme. Modern yet retro feel to it.
Daniel’s nautical nursery by Bellini.
Ashlee Simpson’s nursery is a modern twist on the traditional Winnie The Pooh nursery.
Hand painted mural continuing the whole way around the room. The horizon created with the two different blue paints creates a feeling of space making the room feel bigger. Pale blue paint was chosen initially for its calming effect and the bright pink accents in the water lilies remind us this is a little girls room!
I painted the Murals around this Nursery to bring out the colors in the Bedding, as well as the theme, without being completely literal. By painting the pairs more realistically, the Mural will transition into a childs room.
This is a fairly simple nursery. I was hoping to avoid a lot of clutter on the walls and such. The initial idea was to paint stripes on all four walls, but my wife felt it was to much, so we decided on a mural for the big wall. When we looked on etsy.com and went with a monkey mural to match his bedding. The crib and dresser are Baby Cache’ from Babies R’ us. His little chairs are from Pottery Barn.
This is our first little boy and we designed his Loft nursery to go with our downtown urban theme.
Small room with high ceiling. I wanted to create a girlie room hat would be appropriate from birth to 7. I decided to go with creating a large tree mural with flowers and blue birds. On the opposing two walls I created a flower stencil which I patterned down the walls.
A full surround mural for a little boy in love with the sea.
We turned our home office into a play room for our little girl. It is in the front of our house and has clear doors- so it’s great for playdates- Mommy’s have their time and the little ones can be in the room and we can see everything even if they close the doors (like they always do!!)
This nursery was designed to be colorful, sophisticated and simple with the beautiful cherry blossom design.
The Modern Baby Co.’s owner, Jesseca Bellemare designed a simple, sweet and functional nursery for her third child (first girl!).
My son moved into his big boy room when we moved into our new home. While he was staying with his grandparents, my husband and I were busy moving and getting his room ready for his arrival. The late nights paid off. Even though the rest of the house was in chaos with boxes to unpack everywhere, his room was a warm and welcoming space that made him feel right at home. You can read all about the room design on my blog, http://namesakedesign.blogspot.com/2010/01/new-year-new-house.html.
My daughter’s nursery was designed around several items from her older brother’s nursery and odds and ends that I inherited from my grandmother. It has a vintage/garden feel that I hope she will enjoy well into her toddler years. You can see and read all about the room’s design on my blog, www.namesakedesign.blogspot.com.
