Lots of DIY and sentimental pieces all in one place for my little girl
I wanted to create a fresh/ rustic/shabby chic nursery. I was working with a pretty tight budget so I had to figure out how to get the look for less. I incorporated a lot of things into the room that we already had at home and found pieces for a great price at target and on etsy. I handmade the bed skirt myself and a local seamstress made the curtains for $50(amazing!!! I mean they are pleated and lined!)
Custom designed nursery for Brooklyn. Hot pink, lime green, turquoise, black & white. Barbie art & DIY Barbie sunburst mirror. Upholstered twin bed & turquoise crib. Design & color palette intended to grow with the child.
When I found out I was having a baby girl, I knew I wanted her room to be very special and full of character and of course designed with lots of love by me. i knew gray and purple Where exactly the colors I wanted. I love pink but not on my walls or as decor. I wanted her to have a girlie room rather than a babyish room. I’m in love with chevron so i incorporated some of that in there as well. I am proud to say I did everything in her room. From putting furniture together to painting at 8 months pregnant. I felt like superwoman.
For Molly’s nursery, I wanted to use items I already had and new items that I could use for years to come. I also wanted to mix old family items with new modern items.
Vintage Modern nursery for baby girl.
We live in a townhouse on a lake. The whole house has floor-to-ceiling windows that feature the beautiful water and forest around us. I wanted to put together a nursery that would keep that calming feel of the outdoors, while still feeling feminine and fresh.
When we found out we were having a girl I immediately started thinking about the nursery. I knew I didn’t want anything too girly or with tons of pink. I wanted a cute and cozy place for her since her room is on the small side. I wanted to use lots of colors and patterns throughout the space.
We didn’t know if we were having a boy or a girl so we set out to plan a nursery that kept all the larger design elements neutral and allowed us to bring in lots of colour through accessories and art once we met the baby. We happily had a baby girl and have since had lots of fun personalizing her room for her. The focus has been on colour, handmade elements and a few items that have been passed down to her from generations past. All in all it’s a cheerful room that we hope she’ll be happy with for the next few years.
This is our DIY nursery for our baby girl :)
Aqua and yellow brighten this happy nursery designed with love for a happy little girl.
I waited a long time for this baby girl and I wanted to make her room really special and a place that I loved.
I wanted to create a bright and happy nursery for my daughter. After designing my wedding I was inspired by the colors coral and teal and decided to add yellow for a fresh feel.
Baby girl nursery on a budget. I wanted a nursery that had girly aspects without the flowers and butterflies. I had a very small room to work with so it was very important not to get to many pieces of furniture in the room to avoid over crowding.
Sweet T’s nursery was designed around the loose theme of kites and dandelions. I wanted the nursery to fit in with the style of the rest of our house, which is contemporary with clean lines, yet still feel fun and playful.
The moment I found out I was having a girl, I knew I wanted her room to be girly and nothing themed! I began searching online for inspiration and the Finley bedding was what kept catching my attention. I kept with the colors in the bedding for the wall color and other accents in the room.
Ayla’s room is, in my opinion, girly – without being overwhelming or cartoony. I wanted something that would grow well with her, and that had items that could be replaced and still easily matched.
This is our first child which will be a little girl! We wanted something bright and cheerful!
