-The dessert table consisted of the main cake, cupcakes in custom 3d checkered wrappers topped with lollipop like signs that read a few different things, marshmallow pops individually wrapped and tied with a knot, and candy in just the colors of the party! -The favors were these amazing cookies in the shape of a #1, but frosted with the race car theme. These were also individually wrapped with a personalized thank you tag tied to hot wheel cars. -The “Winner’s Circle” is where the cake eating/smashing started. A cardboard black and white checkered mat was placed under the highchair with a banner above. The high chair had its own personal banner and held the personal cake & custom hat. -The water bottles all had personalized black and white checkered labels with a gas pump on them and read fuel. -The birthday boy wore a shirt with a black and white checkered #1 on it and his name. The big bro wore a shirt that read “pit crew”
My client wanted to bring back the classic Hello Kitty design. Her daughter favorite color is red so it was a great combination to use to create a magical environment. Everything was made from scratch (yes everything) and with a lot of love and patients it all came together.
Plundering and feasting that is my kind of a birthday party! A few of your guests may be walking the plank. But they will all be leaving with a huge bounty of goodies. This pirate themed invite was inspired by one of my dear customers. Baby Dean makes a very good model for this first birthday invitation. I love all the details the pirate hat, treasure chest, pirate ship and the desert island!
We celebrated Mila’s 1st Birthday at a local Gymboree Play and Music. She loves butterflies and we did a butterfly theme for her party. I did most of the shopping through Etsy, from her costume, decorations to cookies. We selected fuschia, orange and lime green as the theme colors, very cheerful. We hang the fuschia with white polka dots fabric as a backdrop for the dessert table. We also hang a butterfly chandelier from PB Kids as the focal point. Everyone loves the chandelier.
We had a (modern) whale theme. I first found a Gap whale sweater, then a Polen O Pyret tee shirt and then a sailor hat on diapers.com. Banner, invites, thank yous, signs, cake, cupcakes – all handmade. I made mini whale tail cupcakes as favors, along with a blue candy bar, blue macarons & blue/dark chocolate covered pretzels. I had blue Jello centerpieces with plastic whales and shells in them. The crowning achievement for me was my cake!
This is a candy/carnival themed party for my daughter’s first birthday. This party took me months to plan, but was SO worth it. I made the majority of the decorations and would do it all over again if I had the chance. Creating, designing and planning is what I LOVE to do. Check it out….
My little Princess Olivia turned 1 on February 27, 2011 and we wanted to throw a party as spectacular as she has been this entire 1st year!
Winter themed first birthday
Sweet Shop themed, using reds, pinks, and whites
I made a snowflake themed party for my 1 year old daughter’s 1st birthday in January. It was pretty, pink, robin’s egg blue and glittery like frost. I made some cupcake toppers with scrapbook paper, skewers, and snowflake stickers, along with some dollarstore white styro snowflakes…And I made the banners with the same scrapbook papers, as well as some old fashioned paper chains with snowflakes added on the bottom! Also I used those “decorate them yourself” crowns from the dollar store and glued the leftover bits of scrapbook paper onto them…
We wanted to celebrate my son’s first birthday with family, friends and GREAT food so we turned to Chinese Dim Sum! My son is part Chinese and Chinese New Year was about to begin so it made perfect sense for us to theme the party as the Year of the Rabbit!
Strawberry Shortcake Inspired First Bday Party
We wanted his first birthday to be so special and crafted by us, so we designed and glued and crafted till our hearts were content!
My baby girl’s first birthday
A backyard barbecue for a very special one year old.
Party for any age based on an Indian style Bollywood theme. Very colourful, full of fun and eye candy!
Our baby’s monkey themed 1st birthday. Since there are no premade monkey-themed supplies, everything was handmade. Favor bags were personalized and filled with age appropiate goodies. Baby guests got banana baby food, little spoons with tags, Gerber chewey fruit snacks, cookies and monkey beanie babies. Older kids got handmade notebooks, monkey pencils, stickers, monkey candy holders. We set up an ice cream bar with yummy toppings. Adults got specially wrapped tic-tacs. Balloon art was made by a very talented friend. See more at www.followyouflutterby.blogspot.com
