Caleb’s Calming Nursery
A calming, yet fun room out-of-the-box of traditional baby boy themes.
A calming, yet fun room out-of-the-box of traditional baby boy themes.
A sophisticated, yet still boyish nursery for our son. It is centered around aviation, deep rich colors and personal hand made touches from loved ones.
Oh what fun! I am so glad to be here today sharing photos from my latest project, baby Victor’s nursery. The space feels so airy, but cozy. There is a beautiful texture wall made from wood and white 3D wall tiles. A little bit of green, some gray and a touch of red brings life to the space. The room is a continuation of the design style of my home. But here it has a whimsical feel. With lion and horse figures, animal art prints, and a fox decal, this nursery is a woodland heaven.
Most of the items in this room were homemade and furniture was used from around the house or purchased used and repurposed.
I wanted Parker’s room to have a bright, modern feel – nothing too babyish and I didn’t want a specific “theme”. I also wanted it to have a lot of handmade touches, which it does. It’s my favorite room in the house, and I can’t wait until he’s here and we get to actually use it!
All-American nursery for a baby boy using neutral colors vintage touches.
We went with a country rustic theme, yet with some playful charm. (Owls, burlap, natural wood, and soft boy colors; light blue, white, gray, and a touch of red)
I designed this first birthday party for my one year old daughter, Emery. I knew I wanted the party to have a vintage antique feel with soft colors and vintage style patterns but also the modern Chevron pattern. I have been gathering ideas and “picking” pieces for a good 6 months.
I wanted a girly yet peaceful nursery. My focus was the cherry blossom tree and birds using shades of pinks, greens, yellows and white.
We wanted a room that Harper would be able to grow with. We didn’t want a traditional baby room. We went with colors and decor that we would use throughout our home and we love it! It’s so comfy and cozy.
A Vintage Country Fair
My goal was to create a warm, inviting space for our baby while being as resourceful as possible. I wanted it to have visual interest, and have elements of the outdoors.
When I met with the family to design this room their little girl just had two requests: purple and ballerinas. Since the parents have a very contemporary european style we incorporated sophisticated furniture pieces with playful plays of pattern on the bedding and window treatments.
A nursery for our first born son, Noa Michael.
This was a “re-do” from my daughter’s original nursery since we moved. Originally, she’d had a brown wall with pink polka dots & the other 3 walls were pink. This time, we went with 1 pink wall & the other 3 are a cream color (Elmira White – Sherwin Williams).
Many owls
A mix of nautical and beach decor…not all sailboats and not too much blue!
We decided to try for a vintage Circus Nursery. We started collecting items here and there when we found out we were pregnant. Our goal was to try and be as unique as possible!
We had a pretty significant set of challenges. We live in Manhattan and have a boy and a girl ages 10 and three. So space is super-premium and we have a massive age spread. We were going to split the room into two smaller spaces, but the kids wildly protested and we were left with the task of figuring out how to give a boy and a girl seven years apart a place to sleep, work and play that would be suitable for both of them.
