I started working on my daughters 2nd Birthday shortly after I had finished her first ;) Since she was born we have casually called her our little poodle so I knew that we had to do a poodle theme for her second birthday party.
I wanted a sophisticated nursery for my son that still had a theme and something he could grow with.
We used a pinwheel theme for our son’s first birthday. He doesn’t have any favorite cartoons or characters right now so we didn’t want to do a character theme party at this point.
A bright and cheery room for my growing girl.
Pixar themed nursery. Anything Pixar related; Movies and shorts.
I loved decorating this nursery for my little boy!
A baby shower for a very intimate get together for a glowing mommy to be with this fashion forward and trendy NEON party. Fun fluorescence! Mixed with bold brights, CHEVRON pattern, saturated STRIPES and washi tape details.
I styled it together with bright whites and a contrasting neutral beige so that the colors would pop even more. As well as Neon washi tape accents to coordinate with the graphic decor
The dessert table included sparkling water (H2oh baby). Mini glasses with striped straws and coordinating flags. Triangle shaped brownies to go with the chevron pattern on the invites. Delicious lemon cupcakes with meringue topping. Dulce de Leche Alfajores, a typical Argentinian tasty treat. The backdrop was created with a neon string heart, tassels in neon, brown and a bright turquoise. All put together with a neutral background (very simple kraft paper! total DIY).
Favors: Wrapped in mini clear glassine bags with a coordinating printable tag was a tassel jewelry piece that could be used as a bracelet or a cute accent necklace served as the favors for the party and were arranged as part of the table setting.

Decorating Carter’s nursery was a very exciting time for me. I love to decorate and this project was so dear to my heart. I wanted his nursery to be a place that could transition very easily. I didn’t want anything overly trendy or “babyish”. Yet, I wanted it to be a room that he would love as much as I do. It does have some newer trendier things but I also incorporated some refurbished and traditional items.
I worked with an existing wall color and started with the main colors of bright blue, magenta and yellow. I wanted the “theme” to be cheerfulness captured through patterns. For the most part the it was a DIY project.
I wanted to create a space for Jaxon to play and let his imagination run wild. {Secretly I wanted my living room back too..} We’re expecting our 2nd son this November so this will be a room that they both can play in. I love how it turned out and that I was able to mix and match the patterns and colors throughout many different things to tie the whole room together.
The nursery for our soon-to-arrive baby William
Neutral nursery for boy girl twins with DIY touches.
I made chalkboards and put them inside the frames so when you are walking into the nursery they are the first thing you see. They read:
This Is Our…
Happily Ever After
The large frames that have the initials in them were originally black- they were painted white.
I also made the mobiles after loving some similar ones on Etsy.com. I couldn’t find one with all of the elements that I loved, so I decided to create my own instead!
My mom crocheted the fringe blanket on the back of the glider :)
A ‘Shabby Chic’ first birthday party for our precious Baby E!
For Molly’s nursery, I wanted to use items I already had and new items that I could use for years to come. I also wanted to mix old family items with new modern items.
We wanted to create a personal and vibrant nursery that our little boy can grow with. We started with fairly neutral walls in two shades of yellow, then painted the stripes on the wall for his name in blue. Gradually we added the furniture and I made a lot of the things you can see – bunting, lamp & light shades, owls, polka dot trim on the curtain tie backs and matching ribbon for the central heart. We had a lot of fun!
Since we moved to our house we always knew this was going to be the baby’s room. We love the way it was design. We also had in mind the owl theme. We took our time to put it together and we looked in different places to find what we wanted. My husband has been deployed but he had put as much effort to make it come together and once he comes back he will so glad of how it turned out.
This is for our 2nd baby and we are thinking we would like at least four children…SO with that, we wanted to select a theme that could work for both a boy and girl…we did find out the gender and expecting a sweet baby boy this September. However, if the third or fourth child is a girl, we can definitely reuse elements of this design theme.
Also this room prior to becoming our second nursery was one of two guest bedrooms and housed my husband’s secondary work space. His one request was to leave that area for when he needs peace & quiet. I told him just for a few months! We plan on keeping Jackson with us in our room on the first floor for the first couple months so breastfeeding can go smoothly. He’ll sleep in his newborn napper pack-n-play unit.
Our son is a huge Marvel fan, so when he told me wanted his room decorated with superhero’s I had to really figure out how I could do it without making it look overdone. His room is also small so I had to find furniture that could also act as storage.
A vintage modern travel nursery for my son Ellis. Full of color, pattern, vintage pieces, modern accents, and personal touches. It is a welcoming and fun space where I am reminded of great past adventures and can’t wait for new ones with the little man!
