Dinosaur 1st Birthday Party Cupcakes

Artcher’s Dinosaur 1st Birthday Party

We decided to throw a dinosaur themed party for my youngest son and have it at our favorite park. Artchie has a special dinosaur stuffed animal he loves to snuggle with and learned to make “ROAR” sounds like his big brother when playing with their dinosaur toys. It was an easy choice to make dinosaurs the running theme for his special first birthday.

Baby Dedication for Griffin

Instead of a brief blessing in front of the church, Griffin’s dedication took place at our home among close family and friends. We wanted to center the event around God while also providing food and entertainment for the guests.

Neutral Aqua and Grey Nursery 1

DIY Neutral Aqua and Grey Nursery

My husband and I did almost everything in this nursery including painting, putting up the chair rail, and installing the crown molding. I had so much fun designing it, and my husband helped make it a little more kid friendly by contributing the monkey idea. I love how tranquil the room came out. We love to hang out in here, and it is a great place to rock and read at bedtime.

Rustic Vintage DIY Boy Nursery

A boy’s nursery filled from floor to ceiling with vintage objects, DIY projects and a rustic gallery wall. We tried to balance what we love as adults with what will engage our son’s imagination and his feelings of belonging.
Whilst it is currently a nursery, it can easily be transformed into a toddler room by switching out the crib for a bed. One of these days I will be able to get rid of the feeding chair, but for now we still use it every morning.

Royal Prince Nursery

This royal prince nursery was a Gender Surprise Nursery® and was one of our most memorable designs to date. The client was having her second baby and didn’t want to know the baby’s gender, yet wanted to have an over-the-top, elegant royal nursery completed to her liking before she had the baby. So we designed two complete nurseries down to every detail…one for a boy and one for a girl. Then when the mom-to-be went for her ultrasound, the doctor sealed up a picture in an envelope and mailed it to our studio. I couldn’t wait for the secret to be revealed and was so tickled to be the only person besides the doctor to know the gender of the baby! I opened the envelop and saw an obvious BOY in the image and got right to work ordering up all of the appropriate boy nursery furniture, bedding, wall art, lighting and decor. We had to stage most of the nursery’s decor here in our studio and when the furniture was set to arrive, we drove to NJ, the family left the house, and we kicked into gear receiving the nursery furniture and installing the crib bedding, wall art, rug, and accessories down to the tiniest little detail. We completed the decorative mural around the room and when finished, locked the door behind us! We even taped paper over the windows and taped around the outside of the door so no “glow” might show through the door crack at night! The nursery would sit and wait for Mommy and baby to arrive home from the hospital. Such a fun project and so full of excitement and anticipation. When Mom and baby Luke arrived home from the hospital and she saw her nursery for the first time, she contacted me and said “the nursery is breath taking and made me cry!” I love a happy ending…don’t you?

Reed’s Starry Retreat

I didn’t set out with any particular “theme” in mind for this room but once I decided to DIY that starry ceiling version of one of my favorite wallpapers, it all came together.  From that one point of inspiration a loose celestial theme evolved – light and peaceful with touches of dark wood to warm things up and loads of different textures.  You can see my original inspiration board for the room here.

Keegan’s Blue Bumble Bee Nursery

I fell in love with this bedding by Carter’s a few years ago and when we finally found out we where pregnant I scooped it up as soon as I could. It was being discontinued at Babies R Us so it was super on sale! I was so pumped since I love a good deal! I wanted his room to feel very open and inviting and to have some unique touches.

Modern + Vintage Eclectic Baby Boy Nursery

This nursery was a DIY project with many items from Etsy.com, online vendors, and handmade by family.  I wanted a modern, eclectic feel, with some vintage touches, without a specific theme for our new baby boy.  The animal photos are simple, beautiful and educational, while the remainder of the outdoor-feel decor was inspired by some of my favorite things – trees, flowers, and plants.
We had a relatively small space to work with, and needed to make the most of our storage space – accounting for the chest of drawers doubling as a changing station, and the hanging hamper and shelf with books and hooks for other practical hanging items.  Enjoy and be inspired!

Milo’s Creative Cabin

Our mission with this nursery was to create a fun, functional space that was true to our personalities. A lot of time and thought went into each and every detail. We had DIY projects, we re-purposed old furniture and shopped for unique items to use as accessories. We placed an emphasis on developing a place that will inspire Milo to be the creative, fun-loving child we hope him to be and we did it!

Felix’s Mid-Century Space Race Sputnik Nursery

My husband and I spent a few weekends creating this room for our new son.  Not only do we absolutely love how it turned out, we are proud that we did it all for less than $500 out of pocket.  We bargain hunted on craigslist, and we did everything we could ourselves.  We painted walls and furniture, and made the curtains, mobile, crib skirt, and robot artwork ourselves.

Keepin’ Cool in Liam’s Modern, Eclectic Nursery

Liam’s room is a cool modern design with a car and sign theme! With a mix of elements from Paul and myself to make it an enjoyable space for us adults as well as something Liam can grow into. We hope to be able to incorporate some more personalized elements once Liam arrives!
