Gender reveal parties are the newest thing happening right now amongst expecting parents! I was beyond thrilled when I was given the opportunity to help the proud parents celebrate their little “peanut”. The whole idea was that Jen and Duc would cut a cake to find out if they were expecting a boy or girl. It was amazing to have so much love and excitement in one place for this new little life.

Our first baby’s nursery
I designed this nursery for my daughter. I wanted something different than the traditional light pink, so opted for a deep raspberry pink with grey, white and tangerine accents.
The client desired a room that the girls could share and grow into.
I focused on a modern nursery that would easily transition with Audrey as she grows. A baby’s room that wasn’t too “baby” or overly girlie. Her parents are young, cool, and hip…and that’s what I wanted to convey in the design. Baby Audrey did her best to let me know what she liked too–lots of swirls and lots of kicking.
I wanted a nursery that was pretty and comfortable but did not have any particular theme. The walls are a pretty shade of blue with pink accents for pop.
This nursery was created for my daughter, Ella. I knew I wanted to work with a yellow and gray color scheme and then add in touches of pink. The room is very small and though I had a lots of ideas, I tried not to clutter it up but keep it simple and add lots of homemade touches to treasure along with some modern items that she can grow up with and aren’t so ‘baby.’
We put together this gender-neutral nursery before our son was born. He was a delivery room surprise and we plan to use this room as a nursery for future children – so we wanted a neutral palette. We gutted everything in the room except the flooring. Our home was a foreclosure – so each room needs a lot of work! It was so much fun to DIY this space for our little one.
Our newest project: a crisp and clean navy, grey, and white nursery. Since kids’ toys have so much color in them already, we chose this neutral palette to let them shine. We also have to use this room as a guest room, so we found a way to accommodate a queen-sized sleeper sofa, which doubles as an excellent place to snuggle up with our boys.
I spent the last 6 months working on a nursery for our first baby. I wanted something fun, colorful and inexpensive. Buying used is one of my favorite things and I love that all of the furniture in the room I either owned or bought used (for under $150 total). We are renting so I didn’t want to mess with paint or permanent changes but still wanted a lot of color.
This is the nursery I created for my son Kyleb. He’s now 3, and it’s been transformed ito a “big boy” room – which was the whole point of the room. I wanted something cool & modern for a baby boy that could be easily transformed into a room he could grow in up until High School.
I wanted our son’s room to be PERFECT! He deserved it after spending the first 7 months of his life in an almost 100 year old farm house in the dining room! I picked a bright, vibrant blue and used jungle animals as our theme. My favorite part of his room are the decals.
I was commissioned to make a cake for this shower and last minute (the day before) the client asked if I could “throw” together a dessert table to go with the cake. She didn’t have a theme other than blue since the mommy-to-be was having a boy. This is what I came up with.
Our company-Creative Carpet Design colaborated with baby bedding designer – Olena Boyko for this adorable nursery. We manufacture custom baby & kid’s rugs.
We are having a “surprise” baby!
My dear friend from high school is finally expecting her baby girl. I had the pleasure of working with our mutual fabulous friend Billye on the event.
This is a baby shower I styled for my dear friends daughter. The colors were pink, brown and white.
My baby girl’s beautiful nursery, put together with love.
