S+S Baby Girl Twin Nursery

It was a huge shock to find out we were having identical twin girls. We have a 3 year old son who is very “boy” so I wanted to do a super girly room.
The campaign dressers and peacock chair are vintage finds. The Caitlin Wilson fabric (which has recently become so popular!) was the jumping off point for the entire space. Since I spent so many hours in this nursery really wanted a room that my twin girls would enjoy and something that I would feel happy and comfortable in.

A Gender Neutral Room for Twins

When my brother and sister-in-law (Lindsey) told our family that they would be having twins, a girl and a boy, we were beyond ecstatic.  Lindsey began pinning away ideas for a neutral themed room that would also represent the personalities of mom and dad. Additionally, she had to maintain functionality in a small guest room while sticking to a budget.  I think she achieved both resulting in a room that is personal, modern and cozy for both a boy and a girl.

Navy, Gray and Orange Twin Boys Nursery

When I learned I was having twin boys, I couldn’t wait to get started on their nursery.  We were working with a very small space, so I wanted it to be bright but still infused with color.  I wasn’t going for a specific theme other than to incorporate animals in some way.  I chose to keep it simple with silhouettes.  I love the way it turned out – not too baby like, but also not too grown up.  Just right.

Vintage Inspired Twin Nursery

When we found out we were expecting twin girls, I was daunted by the idea of creating a functional nursery for two babies in such a small space.  My husband and I bought a 1,000 sq. foot bungalow three years ago, before we were thinking about one, much less TWO, little ones.  However, by piecing together items I love and hiding storage anywhere possible, we were able to work with the limited space we have to bring the nursery to life.

Twin Nursery for Berkley and Haxton

Our obsession with geometric patterns and vibrant colors were our focal point in this nursery along with adding an arrangement of old and new.  We were aiming for a calm, relaxing room that could be comfortable for this growing family, designating specific colors to each twin to reflect their gender but still using the same print of fabric to show they came as a pair!

Twins- Edward and Ivy’s Aqua Gray and Lime Nursery

This aqua and gray striped nursery with white furniture and vintage daybed is all set up for twins. Colorful throw pillows and bedding in turquoise, lime, white, and a little  pink (for Ivy), some original artwork, a mini-chandelier, and nature inspired mobile bring this nursery to life. This turned into a group project where different members of our family were able to use their special talents whether it was carpentry, painting, sewing , or art and design.
