Jenna’s Nursery
This is a room I decorated for my client, the walls were hand painted, the letters above the crib, the door sign, picture frames and shelf were customized and or hand crafted by me.

Kavi’s nursery is a mix of Safari elements I started collecting when we found out we were expecting. At the time I didn’t know the sex so I wanted to keep with color choices that would work for a boy or a girl. We’ve recently moved into a new house and I haven’t had time to paint the walls yet (builders beige is boring I know). I haven’t decided yet on what color it will be. Hmmm…
We wanted Nicolas’ nursery to be whimsical and tranquil, but classic and contemporary at the same time. The room was painted camel tan so that allowed us to use a simple, yet chic and sophisticated color palette – light blue, brown, tan and hints of white.
My clients child loved the zoo, so what better way to bring the zoo to him by having a jungle theme birthday. I had such fun getting to use all great color schemes and creating a magical event for the kids.
We painted this large room a darker color to make it feel smaller and then used bright teal accents to add some excitement. A different approach to a common safari theme.
This gender neutral nursery was designed for Lisa and Buddy Valastro, stars of The Cake Boss by Sherri Blum, owner of Jack and Jill Interiors . Due with their fourth child, they didn’t want to know the baby’s gender prior to birth. The parents had very different ideas about how they wanted the nursery decorated, as well. Lisa wanted an elegant, traditional nursery, and Buddy wanted and over the top Jungle Safari nursery theme. My job was to help them find a compromise.
When we started the room, we had no theme because my husband and I couldn’t agree on a theme. He wanted a lion theme or locomotive theme. I wanted to do a monkey theme or giraffe theme. In the end, I think it came out nice we ended up doing the Safari theme when I came across the paper lanterns from world market! They were on clearance and that’s when the room got it’s theme. I absouletly love it! The colors are cream, gold, black, brown & blue.. Everytime I tell people the colors I smile because I know they are thinking why? lol We have updated the baby’s room.. check out the blog for details http://youngcheathams.blogspot.com/
