My daughter Emerson’s colorful nursery was inspired by gift that someone gave me of a photo of a mariska doll that spams ‘You are beautiful inside and out’. The nursery is a collection of colors, textures, patterns. We played with a balance of hard and soft and love the way it turned out.
A feminine, vintage-modern bedroom shared by two girls, ages three and two. There are lots of thrifted and a few hand-made items. My style inspirations include scandi-modern, vintage and granny chic looks. It doubles as a play space with a kitchen and dress-up station. You can read more on my blog…
It was so fun to create a little girl’s nursery. We wanted it fresh, woodsy, clean, inviting, colorful and soft all in one. On a budget and in style.
A vintage inspired room that I painted, embellished, repurposed, or handmade almost everything you see. The quilt, pillows, curtains & window seat cushion were all made by my fabulous mom.
So it all started with our client wanting a wish upon a star theme. We knew right away we would make this a more hip and cool up to date theme by adding in the rustic elements . This party was all about diy. We hand made all the centerpieces, spray painted the letters, hand made the banners, candy labels, thank you bags and the list doesn’t end there. one of our favorite elements of the event was utlizing the custom rustic wood bar that we designed with the contractor, Adam Mayer. The built-in bar added just the right amount of added rustic we needed for a side backdrop. Being that my business partner and I are both new moms we knew exactly what its like to have a baby shower. We wanted to make this a stylish yet relaxing event for our client. There were tons of food and candies for everyone to munch on and we loved the cake pops and cake that we designed with Vani… The paper brown “About to Pop’ popcorn bags were hidden around the corner for a nice little surprise treat. The gold made everything bling and sparkle while working magically off the teal color.
When I found out I was having a girl I knew what I wanted her room to look like. Neutral with splashes of peach and gold!
June’s Winter Nutcracker 1st Birthday Party! Sometimes It’s hard having indoor birthday parties in the Northeast in the month of December, so coming up with a “Theme” can be difficult if you only have indoor spaces to work with
My mother and I hosted a baby shower for my sister. Theme was “Sweet Pea.”
Many do-it-yourself touches in this chic nursery. From the stenciled wall, heart wall piece, tassel garlands, ornament mobile, and wall collage, I may have spent extra time doing everything myself but saved lots of money!
This nursery was designed for my daughter Judeth before she came into the world and has been so great for her whole first year. We absolutely love her room and before she got here it was a way for us to show our excitement and love for her.
I wanted a modern, eclectic feel for this twin nursery. Clean lines and multiple textures. I wanted a nursery that could grow with them. I wanted a nursery that I could add anything I wanted and it just “worked” with everything else in the room.
This is a Lilly Pulitzer- inspired nursery. It’s feminine, but not over-the-top pink and is something a baby girl can grow into for a toddler room. I created this for my daughter, who was born in March of 2012.
This is a room for our first child. Almost everything in it is handmade by myself, my husband or my friends and family. We started with the rug from overstock and everything else slowly fell into place. Lots of hand me downs, everything yellow was built by my grandfather. The dresser/changing table was a craigslist find painted white by my husband. All the decor on the walls are original pieces by me or friends/family. My husband made the curtain rods from sticks he found in our backyard. The ottoman was an etsy find. The walls are behr canton jade. This was the first time I’ve ever decorated a room from start to finish and I loved doing it! Now we just need the baby! :)
When working with baby Kyle’s mom we knew we wanted to do a mustache 1st birthday party, but we wanted to make it a bit different than the usual approach and add a bit of vintage/rustic feel to it.
A modern safari themed nursery designed by Widell Designs for a stylish baby boy. Wanted to design something playful yet calming for both baby and mommy.
Dillon’s nautical 1st birthday party was held at liberty lands park in northern liberties philadelphia on aug 23, 2014. The entire party had a running theme of sailboat’s and anchors throughout all the decor and details. I wanted to make this party as fun and modern as I could for a first birthday party.
All items shown were handmade by mom & dad for our precious little mermaid.
My husband and I didn’t find out the sex of our baby so I needed to come up with a nursery design that was gender neutral and didn’t scream yellow and green or gray. I have a love for anything DIY, so adding some pine wainscotting, new closet doors, a fresh coat of paint and colorful decor was what made the perfect nursery for our sweet babe. A few months after finishing the room, we welcomed a baby girl, Lyric, in September and she loves her slumber pad just as much as we do. A gold letter “L” now hangs on the wall behind the glider and made the perfect final touch.
I wanted soft colors in Brody’s baby blue boy nursery and planned to use both new and old pieces. I chose the simple Jenny Lind Crib for it’s timeless look and inexpensive price tag. I owned the white swivel chair, ottoman, dresser and mirror already and knew I would be able to utilize those in his room. I had plans to keep the room mostly gender neutral with just a few pops of blue. I love the way the room turned out with a bit of modern, rustic, traditional and a touch of antique.
