Ariella’s Coral and Aqua Nursery

Ariella’s nursery is a soothing oasis of coral pink, pale aqua, and bright white, & combines many hand crafted items from artists across the country.  The main focal wall stencil behind the crib is a uniquely Moroccan pattern, but when combined with other traditional and vintage shapes, it takes on a whole new style of its own.  Custom painted vintage frames hung above the changing table create a second focal point of their own without competing with the main feature wall, and simple details pull the room together for a cohesive look.

Pink & Green Sweet Suite

This nursery was made with love for our first child, Madelyn. The space is big and was once our office/guest room. It’s actually the second of a two master-bedroom condo so the floor space is massive, but the wall space is interesting. There is only one blank wall (the crib, which is the focal point) as all other walls either have doors, mirrored closets or a bank of windows. The challenge was creating a space that made sense practically, but reflected our personal decor styles.

cupcakeMAG brings you a dream nursery….

cupcakeMAG partnered with some amazing top baby brands to bring one reader a dream nursery – Newport Cottages, Banner Boutique, Phil&Teds, and many more! This has been months in the making and we are thrilled to share it with readers as one mother’s dream came true! Stay tuned for all the details soon to be on Project Nursery! We filled the room with things fit for a princess and filled the closet with the necessities for a first time mom and all the must-haves she needs at her finger tips!

Lilac and Yellow Toddler Room

This is our daughter’s first “big girl” room.  Her room is pretty small, but has great light and high ceilings.  The lilac inspiration came from the first color she learned, purple.    We chose to accent with a buttery yellow.  I think we accomplished a super sweet toddler room while avoiding that “kiddie” feel.  It’s classic and cheerful, and has an airy, roomy feeling even though it’s a small room in the corner of our house.  And she loves it! The vertical stripes are easy with a lot of painters tape and the antique bed sits high giving her a princess feel.  I hope Project Gallery readers like it, as we had so much fun putting it together.

Slim Budget, Big Style

It always interests me to see what people can do when on a tight budget. Creativity and sheer determination can turn out some of the most creative rooms. Today’s Real Room was designed for twins on a slim $400 budget. A bit of a challenge but designer Ashley DeLapp of Evaru Design took the task on with confidence and the outcome was WOW! A do-it-yourself overhaul on both cribs (which were picked up on Craigslist) and a statement rug make this room a favorite (I can’t get over the $40 rug!). Don’t miss all the details on this nursery created for Ashley’s friend Christina and her twin girls, Izzy and Avery.

Logan’s Horizontal Stripes

Our friend Lesley David of Paint Your Space finally gave us an insider look at her seven year old son Logan’s room. If you have followed Project Nursery in the past you know we totally swoon over horizontal stripes. So of course we loved what Lesley did with Logan’s walls. The stripes allowed her to make Logan’s room feel preppy and put together but got that unexpected kick she yearns for when designing a room. Lesley gives us all the details on Logan’s room including the great paint colors and DIY projects!

Taylor’s Fantasy Fairyland

What aspiring little princess doesn’t love the color pink, a crystal chandelier and sparkly butterflies? When planning her daughter Taylor’s nursery, mom Shannon was leaning toward traditional decor but also wanted to create a room filled with soft, feminine touches and a sprinkle of fantasy. Tailored wide beige stripes where painted on the walls and hand-painted trees where added in the corners to bring the fantasy feel into the room. Soft white furniture was chosen and pink window treatments add a finished look . Taylor is one lucky little lady to have such a beautiful room to dream in. After all she is mom’s number one little princess!

Griffin’s Cafe Au Lait

A fresh coat of paint is my absolute favorite way to not only update a room but to add a little drama. Sarah, mother to three-month old Griffin, must agree. By painting the room a warm shade of cafe-au-lait, she created a rich backdrop for an elegant and sophisticated nursery. Inspired by Dwell’s Circles crib bedding, Sarah used a few old pieces from other rooms in the house alongside the new crib, glider and rug to get a clean and eclectic feel. Other finishing touches include a bookshelf made by Griffin’s grandfather and vintage family photos in crisp white frames. The alphabet cards positioned above the crib add just the right touch of modern. Read on for more details.

Avery’s Lanterns In Sky Blue

When you find something you love why not use it as inspiration for a room’s decor? That’s just what mom Amy did when creating her daughter Avery’s nursery. Amy found a set of pillow shams online with a fun Japanese doll pattern. The fabric’s playfulness lead the way for a stunning cherry blossom mural filled with Japanese lanterns. Here are all the details on Avery’s lanterns in sky blue.
