Baby Matthew’s Modern Nursery
We wanted a modern/traditional nursery that would grow with our first baby. We mixed patterns and colors for a child friendly room that can be soothing and playful at the same time.

Gray, blush pink and copper, vintage-inspired nursery. Lots of personal/heirloom/hand-made touches throughout.
Baby boy nursery inspired by a giraffe cowhide rug. We started off using neutral colors with pops of blue and ended up with a cozy safari nursery that is peaceful yet playful.
This is a nursery for baby boy that is due to be here soon! I have always loved decorating, but this has been a whole new level of fun. I loved every moment of decorating this sweet nursery for him.
This is the nursery I made for my second son. I was inspired by some whale fabric I found at a local fabric shop. Being on a budget, I wanted to do most things by hand. All the decor was made by myself and my sister.
This nursery was designed for a world-traveling couple with modern style. The design is fairly minimal and serene since all of the furniture and three of the four walls are white. The dominating pieces in the room are the custom window treatments and globe trotting wallpaper.
At Little Crown Interiors, we’re currently jumping up and down, alternating with pinching ourselves. We just completed a design for celebrity Mommy Laila Ali, and we finally get to share it with Project Nursery readers.
Bright and cheery nursery for our first child, a sweet baby girl!
This neutral nursery is warm and cozy. Orange and blue are great complimentary colors and the polka dots and animal accents give the room whimsy and charm.
Jackson’s nursery. Doubles as a guest room for out of town guests. Currently we’re renting a two bedroom apartment while we shop for a house. Since we’re renting, I didn’t want to paint the walls just to paint it back in a year. I compensated with a few removable decals. Also, because of the rental blinds, we were unable to add window treatments. Those two things I think would have really finished the room. But, I’m happy with it considering the limitations.
A boy’s nursery with class and charm. Kylar’s nursery is a great example of allowing yourself to break free of the standard boy’s nursery decor.
My husband and I wanted a whimsical/animal themed nursery for our first baby. We love birds and are avid bird watchers. Our wedding was bird and nature themed. So when I found the Owl fabric on Fabric.com, I was in love and envisioned Rosalie’s nursery. The whole nursery was DIY, Project Nursery and Pinterest inspired. I wanted it to be personal and not trendy but unique!
This is my first nursery. My fiance and I wanted everything to be extra beautiful for our daughter. We wanted to have a dream nursery… I used a few different painting techniques. I also wanted to incorporate a chair rail and crown molding into this project. The clouds are hand painted by myself and I also painted a few animals into the clouds. (rabbit, giraffe, elephant, zebra)
From the beginning I knew I wanted a vintage teacup theme. I was scared to work with florals and painting a room pink for fear it may just look outdated and granny style but with painting stripes and picking modern floral prints it came together nicely to complete the teacups around the room.
twin boys’ nursery!
Blake’s nursery is bright, modern, and clean with lots of storage and cozy furniture. The colors are shades of blue, green, khaki, and chocolate brown with a few accents of alligators as a nod to our college alma mater, the University of Florida.
Nursery for Alexandra due March 25, 2012
Not big on themes but I love airplanes and all things old. When I found out I was having a boy I immediately knew I didn’t want to do blue (after having a father in the air force… I don’t like blue but am fond of planes!)
