A contemporary nursery for a baby girl
This room was exactly what my husband and I wanted for our newest addition. I LOVE the rich chocolate brown and pink together. We found a mobile that we loved and went off of that and this was the product. Its a very relaxing space and our daughter loves looking at all the decorations while we are in there.
From the moment we found out the sex of our baby, My husband and i were so excited to start decorating her room! We wanted a fun room and because i am a purple and butterflies lover, i knew i had to incorporated it in her decor. And we loved how it turn out!
Butterfly (Carters) / Flower (Cocalo)
I was on a tight budget before the arrival of my little girl so I went for a simple ‘pink’ theme shower. My best friend hosted it and helped with the planning. As I had so much free time prior to the shower (and being a bit crafty) I hand made everything (apart from a few table scatters). Everyone came dressed with a little sprinkle of pink.
Creation of a nursery that can later change into a big girls room. It started as my youngest girl nursery room, but I wanted them both to eventually sleep together in this room. It is all hand painted and designed by me and my sister. The lamp is a creation of my sister, the butterfiles are from pottery barn, and the beautiful rug is from Zara home

Hand painted mural continuing the whole way around the room. The horizon created with the two different blue paints creates a feeling of space making the room feel bigger. Pale blue paint was chosen initially for its calming effect and the bright pink accents in the water lilies remind us this is a little girls room!
Small room, small budget, short time! We’re adopting our little girl, and didn’t find out about her until 3 months ago, so time was short to create the nursery we want for her.
