Vintage Inspired American Boys Study & Playroom

Our clients have this amazing Country Farmhouse in the middle of the city complete with this perfectly intimate space flanking the hallway to the bedrooms, just asking to be Styled into a space suitable for growing, sports addicted boys! We took this space from a bright and airy, almost vacant room to a handsome, rugged and most importantly, inspiring space for the boys to learn, read, do homework and study.

Baby Bridges Gender Reveal Party

Since this was our first baby we wanted to host a gender reveal party for all our close friends and family. Only my best friend knew the gender of the baby so she had a bakery make cupcakes filled with blue or pink filling. After everyone arrived the gender of the baby was revealed by my husband and I biting into a cupcake that had either blue (boy) or pink (girl) in the center. It’s a BOY!

A Masculine Touch

This is my son’s nursery at Grandma’s house. We share my old room when we visit her. When I found out I was pregnant with a boy I knew I wanted to paint my old bedroom and make it more boy friendly…but Grandma wasn’t down for that. So, I had to figure out how to make my purple fortress (designed by me at 16) more masculine. When I was a teenager I decorated the room with a purple, black and ivory color scheme…I’m just grateful that I didn’t decide to go with a hot pink leopard theme at the time! Sticking with that same scheme, I added a touch of masculinity for my little man using a mustache motif.
Now I love the room, we fit right in! My favorite design elements are the portrait wall of him with little staches on…so cute! and the DIY mobile (made by me) with paint swatches and crystals.
