We decided to host our son, Rocco’s, 2nd birthday party in our own backyard for about 75 people. We chose a train theme, since he is obsessed with them, and wanted a late afternoon/early evening party to fit into most of the kid’s schedules. All photos are courtesy of Leah McCormick Photography.

I wanted to do something sophisticated and girlie for my daughters 2nd birthday party, so I thought pink and gold would do the trick. I had so much fun thinking of creative ways to display her initial and add littgle details throughout her party.
Since I have a minor obsession with donuts as does my 2 year old, I decided what better way to celebrate her 2nd birthday party than with donuts! This was a birthday to remember!
I decided on throwing Kennedy a Vintage Circus 2nd Birthday Party because I know how much she loves to be outside and how much she loves clowns so I thought it would be very fitting.

My girls have what we like to call a “monkey problem”…. no princesses or tea parties here, just monkeys! I decided awhile back that for their 2nd birthday we would go all out, especially since we were in the middle of a move for their 1st birthday. With every new party item that came in the mail, Evie and Eliza would excitedly yell, “I nonkey pahty!”
My son loves trains, I mean walking around all day going “trains and cars are good” kinda love. So of course I ran with it for this little train birthday party. I made some Vegan chocolate cake with fondant trains. Rice Krispie treat pops and cookies, cake pops and chocolate covered pretzels. Super easy PB&J’s in the shape of trains and little train cars that I made out of boxes carried fruits and veggies. We did a cookie decorating station so the kids didn’t get bored and it was a huge hit. Little details were my focus on this rather simple party. Happy 2nd Birthday Milo!
This party was a Princess Minnie Mouse inspired party for my daughters 2nd birthday.
We decided to do a Disney Pixar UP theme party for our daughter’s 2nd birthday and a gender reveal baby shower!

There really were no other theme contenders for my son’s birthday this year. Diggers are on that boy’s mind all day, every day. Not sure if it’s the big tires, the dirt, the loud engines or just the manliness of it all, but he’s hooked.
Breakfast with Brox was the theme of my son’s 2nd birthday party. We hosted the breakfast birthday party at a local park and served homemade breakfast goodies.
