Hot Air Balloon Toddler Room

During designing my son bedroom I was focused on details and colors. I wanted to add some unique accents, which is hard to find in regular stores. My idea was to use and mix few colors like green, yellow and navy blue and still stay in minimal look. You can find here a vintage pieces and some modern accents as well. I use wallpaper on one wall and green paint to get more color to bedroom. I feel this room is perfect for my toddler.

Lennon Change’s The World – Recycling 3rd Birthday

My little guy has been obsessed with the trash truck since he’s been able to show expression. I wanted to create a theme for Lennon’s 3rd birthday that focused on changing the world, recycling, and saving the planet while concentrating on his love for the trash truck.
We started with a color palette of sage, slate blue, brown, yellow, and a darker green. From there, I was set on building out a whole center for Lennon that focused on recycling inclusive of the truck, of course, a recycle can with an image of a tree as part of saving the planet, a rack with Waste Management vests, and a recycling center that focused on all the items we can recycle.
Cat from Modest Peach absolutely nailed this build-out and my vision. We used the recycle cart as a dessert stand to showcase all the incredibly beautiful desserts and cakes made by Dien of Sweet Deetails. Dien also designed the graphic of Lennon as a Waste Recycle Worker. We also customized each child at the party with a graphic design of themselves as a Waste Recycle Worker. Malisa from Creative Amme then created place cards for each child for their table settings. I also got customized trash can utensil holders with each child’s name made and ideally suited stir sticks of a recycling truck and the phrase “Let’s Change The World.”
Party Shop Ave did an amazing balloon install to resemble trashing coming out of cans, and the truck and Shana from Sharp Balloons made Lennon’s little garbage truck balloon that he would not let go of. As always, Brie from Pavan Floral stunned us with her gorgeous floral arrangements. We also had bumper cars for the kids, a massive hit provided by Busy Bee Soft Play rentals.
The highlight of all was the Waste Management team arriving. I have never seen a happier Lennon. They let him go into the truck and blow the horn. They brought him a present. It was truly special. Hopefully, these kids understood the importance of recycling and striving to save this planet.  Photos by the incredible Kara Coleen never fail to capture every event so beautifully.

Boho Desert Nursery

As soon as I started thinking about my nursery, I knew that I’d want a natural, warm & earthy colour palette (which has to include some of my favourite colour, Mustard!) in a modern boho style, with a hint of a desert theme. We found out we were having another baby girl, so I wanted to incorporate a hint of dusty rose colour through the room also. I love the softness of rainbow/arch shapes, so you’ll see I’ve incorporated hints of this shape throughout. I also knew I needed to include special pieces from one of my favourite brands, Boho Baby Heaven; a very small family business, run by a mother-daughter duo based in Hungary. Mariann & Inez specialize in bohemian style home/nursery decor & toys, all made completely by hand. I shared my ideas about the theme of the nursery them, and I knew they would create the perfect pieces to suit. They exceeded my expectations. These pieces are all so special to me, they evoke such joy & have tied together my nursery space so perfectly. Inez did a guest blog post previously featuring the creative & design process of these pieces. I’ve tried to keep a repetition of elements throughout this room; using light wood & natural elements such as rattan & cane, with the warm earthy colours, and pops of mustard & dusty rose. Before Maisie arrived, I would spent quiet moments in here sitting in the papasan chair whilst sipping on a tea. The golden afternoon sun diffusing softly through the curtains; to me, the room feels warm, happy & completely calm. It’s my little nursery oasis! Our two cats seem to agree as I catch them both sleeping happily in here every day.

Luca’s Sunshine Nursery

We named our son’s middle name after my father’s middle name “Sol,” is the reason why we chose a sunshine theme. We wanted something boho but masculine. Natural wood colors with rust, mustard, blue and orange colors to represent sunsets in AZ where we currently live! I love the simplicity of the metallic gold sun wall decals, and using mustard colors in the details of his room really allowed the sun decals to pop out more. We love it!
