Shark Attack Shared Boys Room

The perfect room for two boys looking to get creative and have fun escaping sharks and using their imaginations. I created this room with a nautical surf vibe for two sweet boys. I wanted to make it exciting but also be a place that they can grow into for many years to come. The existing furniture was complimented with a custom wall mural, a grow with me modern desk, shark bedding and a gallery wall. I absolutely love this one and so do my sweet clients!

Floral Garden Party Girls Room

This is by far one of my favourite rooms. The room itself is quite small, so I wanted to add some interest to the room all while keeping it open and airy. I added two walls of this glorious garden floral wallpaper. Kept the remaining items very simple with a Jenny Lind bed and modern side table. The bookcase was a shorter profile so it wouldn’t take up additional rooms space. Character elements were added with wicker storage baskets and a feathered mirror (no longer available). Bedding was kept light with a blush pink comforter and a canopy overhead.

Finding Nemo inspired multi-purpose playroom and homeschool area!

We wanted to transition our crazy toy-filled playroom into a multipurpose room…key word, PURPOSE!  We wanted to use it in as many ways as possible.  Since our kids are 11, 9, and 3, they each need different things when it comes to a space.
We knew we antes an additional homeschool area for the big kids so we could all be upstairs during the school day together.  We also wanted to keep our reading nook included in the space, so it seemed natural to put the homeschool area on the same side of the room.
We also needed a craft area (hence the big craft table!) and storage for supplies (cabinets on wall.)
We still have toys-various blocks in the cabinets, stuffed animals in the big armoire, and trains in the armoire drawers.
The biggest project was definitely the 6 bunk beds!  We often have lots of guests and knew this would be a neat place for them to stay if we had larger families come.  We also loved the idea for slumber parties and hanging out/reading during the school day.  My husband built these from scratch!  They took months-he doesn’t even own a table saw!
We truly wanted it to be able to be used in multiple ways, even simultaneously…we have achieved just that!
I should also mention-It’s Finding Nemo themed 🐟

Colourful Playroom + Kid’s Work Space

A common dilemma that most families encounter with playrooms, is a lack of storage space. For this project with Caron from Roo Parenting, we found a way to neatly tuck away and hide toys, sports gear and craft supplies for her three children. Instead of multiple smaller storage pieces, we selected a large wardrobe system for one side of the room, filled with drawers and shelves that makes it easy to keep everything organized! We then incorporated a cozy reading nook with the most beautiful tassel pendant, and side-by-side wall desks to give the two older kids a spot for drawing and doing homework. This space was completely transformed into a fun and colourful space the whole family can enjoy, for many years to come!

The White and Turquoise Beloved Nursery

Our nursery design was inspired by our favorite boutique resort, the Beloved Playa Mujeres, in Cancun, Mexico. Our color scheme for the walls was modeled after the luxurious, all-white casitas sitting along the tranquil turquoise waters of the Atlantic. We also incorporated sandy colored furniture and botanical elements such as the handmade eucalyptus and floral wall hanging, which was reminiscent of the gardens at the resort. Finally, we added a touch of gold throughout to bring a sunny, chic vibe to the room.
