Purple/Lavender

We knew we wanted to build this room around a statement wall, whether it was wallpaper, wall decals or one bold color. With the blue rocking chair, brass cart, and white IKEA dresser given to us as gifts, we needed the wall to tie in all of those colors. It was a bit of a challenge as the blue chair was hard to match to pink and blush tones. We loved the Floral Meadow wallpaper when we first came across it. Though, we couldn’t tell if it would sync with the chair and pink accessories, or overwhelm it. We were relieved we could order a sample through Project Nursery before we could commit to the full wall. Not only was it beautiful with amazing quality, the colors were perfect. The floral wallpaper taps into so many different tones, that made it the perfect piece to bring this room together.
We couldn’t be happier with this wallpaper! It was a two person job to put it up, but overall an easy task. Much easier than regular glue wallpaper. We searched for months to find the product, and Project Nursery was one of the only companies out there that offered samples. The overall experience was so positive, that I plan to order my next wall paper here – even for non-baby rooms!
 
 

My inspiration from this nursery came from the fact that I wanted some thing that would be very timeless. I really wanted it to feel like no matter when you walked into this room, it would work for years to come. I focused on having calming colors that coordinate in all areas in all details of the room. With that being said, I really wanted to have artwork that didn’t scream “baby” at you. The art behind the crib actually came from the fact that I really wanted to feel calm and peaceful when I walked into this room since I knew I’d be spending lots of hours in here I also wanted to comfort. I reupholstered an antique rocker and designed it with specific colors in mind. Eleanor almost 2 years later I couldn’t be more thrilled with it

I usually gravitate towards neutrals but really wanted to celebrate my rainbow baby in color! A Flour Shop cake was the inspiration for the event, and they even customized the color scheme in a pastel rainbow. I wanted the party to be intimate and Maison May was the perfect venue. It’s located in a Brooklyn brownstone so you feel like you’re just having a casual brunch at a friend’s home. They also have the perfect all-white room that really helped the rainbow theme pop.

Loved putting our little girls nursery together! Orchid Purple paint by Behr with black and white stripes make her room able to grow with her. This nursery will easily convert to her big girl room as she gets older with Lavender damask linens, Lavender purple comforter and black and white striped lamp and storage accents. We found an old telephone table at a yard sale and painted it the same Orchid Purple and the black and white marble book shelf was a steal at Home Goods. Her nursery set was found at Nebraska Furniture Mart and the glider is from BuyBuy Baby. Special touches also include a handmade mobile, curtains and name sign as well as a Lemonlee Doll and her sisters painted heartbeat. All this has me saying “I’m proud to be y-orchid, Enslie!”

This is not your typical rainbow wall mural! It’s a reinvented rainbow! I have been working on a rainbow themed room for my client’s 2 year old toddler girl. We started with a blank space. From the beginning, we knew we were going to do an accent wall. When we first started, my client wanted to add decals to the wall. Simple, and easy, but not very impactful. Plus, her daughter would grow out of it after a few years. After many discussions, I somehow convinced her to go a bit bolder (or maybe she decided on her own?!). The reinvented rainbow it the focal of the room but there are so many other elements to the room that she can grow into 
I upcycled an old Ikea table and chairs from her older siblings. I painted scallops in the same rainbow palette. The made a craft corner that houses her art supplies and her artwork too.
I also painted an ombré watermelon dresser which is another Ikea hack. It was a plain white dresser but with the knobs it adds a whimsical touch!
A reading nook and shelves are also essential to help kids develop a love for reading.
this is a beautiful room that she can grow into for many years!

I dreamed of having a daughter. I dreamed of all the tiny little girly things and special mommy daughter moments we would share. I dreamed of designing her nursery and then getting to know her and designing her first big girl room.
This is Charleigh’s room. It is perfectly her, a mix of girly, wild, natural, and whimsical. Charleigh is not a dainty little toddler, she’s a wild flower. She’s all over the place-climbing, running, jumping-but she just may be doing all of these things in a tutu. As you can see from her room, she is an eclectic mix of many things as is her happy boho space with lots of storage, hangout spots, and the ability to climb on and off of her custom modified daybed.
 
 

When planning to transition our daughter to a big girl bed, I decided to give her room a refresh. I wanted to create a soft, mostly neutral space with a floral and vintage-inspired elements that she could enjoy for years to come. I began by painting the walls a warm white, and then installed peel and stick botanical wallpaper (custom colors: white and mist) for an accent wall behind the bed. For the bedding, I started with a cozy white duvet and layered feminine pillows and a blush throw. I love affordable toy storage options, so I used a white cube organizer with fabric bins, and dressed it up with a round rattan mirror, brass lamp, and greenery. A blush rug pulls it all together. One of my favorite things about this space is the clean and minimal look! My advice is to keep things simple, focus on elements that you love, and include storage that is both functional and pretty.
