Liv’s Modern Dwellings Nursery

This project was inspired by Modern and Traditional elements. I really wanted to feel reminded of my childhood nursery for my daughter, while pulling in fresh and more modern furniture silhouettes. I chose to use houses as an influence in her room. Being an Interior Designer, this really resonated with me personally. Before we ever knew we were having a girl, we purchased the two art pieces above her bookshelf. I fell in love with them at a local art show and had to have them. Once we found out that we were going to have a little girl, the colors in these pieces became the beginnings of a color scheme for her room.
Advice to readers: I would say that a room design is a fluid idea. Find those core pieces first (crib, dresser, etc.) and let your design evolve as you build on to it. Also, find things that you love and want to see every day. You will be spending a lot of time in this room, so find things that spark joy!\

Boho Daisy Nursery

The nursery was designed to be cheerful yet calming with its warm tones, wood/rattan pieces & floral wallpaper.  We absolutely love how the daisy wallpaper brightens up the space and adds a splash of color to the previously all gray room, not to mention it was SO easy to install!  We chose neutral furniture pieces so that when baby #2 arrives someday, we can easily modify the room to a baby boy nursery if need be.

Space Nursery

Space and space exploration have a special place in both my and my husband’s hearts. Our wish was to share that with our child as soon as he enters the world and what better way to do it than to bring space into his nursery.
This is a DIY project, with the wallpaper and knot pillows sourced from Etsy, the furtniture set from Little Guy Comfort, the shelving and rug from Crate Kids and the handwoven rug from Love44. The glider is from Babyletto. The wall hanger is from West Elm. The window treatment is from the Shade Store. The wall, ceiling and trim paint is from Clare.
The nursery is the perfect space for our son – both are a labor of love and dedication towards building a thriving and loving family together.

Pink Floral Nursery

My favorite color is pink! I was on a pink and gold kick and really wanted to create something special for my little girl on the way.
My husband and I love DIY…we found this dresser at the goodwill…sanitized, sanded and painted for the perfect pink dresser. Our floor lamp was  another free find. We were able to refurbish with some good spray paint.
This particular crib style is discontinued, but I linked a similar option.
