My son needed to vacate the nursery to make room for our newest little baby girl arriving, so we got started on fixing up the guest room and turning it into his big boy room. He’s into superheroes, but I didn’t want the room to scream Marvel, so I added a few hero touches to keep him happy, but also added lots of boyish, unique elements that I think will grow with him as he gets older.

I wanted to make a girlish, whimsical nursery for my little daughter due any day now. The room already had the white beadboard and shelves around the top, so we repainted the beadboard a light pink and then used a darker pink above the shelves and in the closet to make the room pop a little bit. With the addition of custom crib bedding and lots of textures and colors, I went “themeless” with just WHIMSY and pretty in mind.
