I'm a first time mom-to-be (at least in the human sense). I live by the beach in Southern California and have been happily married to my amazing husband for nearly three and a half years. We currently have one furry child, a dog named Ava, who is expecting her little sister, "Baby Jo", to arrive at the end of October 2013.
I love decorating, watching home shows, reading design blogs/mags, and bargain shopping. Our home is decorated in a tropical Balinese/Hawaiian style with lots of greens, browns and dark woods. That being said, I really wanted to bring some vibrant colors in to our new little girls' room.
We decided to go with a jewel tone palette and mix it in with some vintage pieces and natural fibers. And the overall "theme" is ocean/mermaid.
