Modern Farmhouse Nursery

I have a passion for design, so working on this project for my daughter’s nursery was so much fun. Majority of our house is white on white (brave, I know), but there is nothing that makes a room feel more welcoming and happier to me than having bright, white interior and fabrics.
Before starting this project, I was trying to brainstorm themes that weren’t too trendy, or that I hadn’t seen a lot of before. We did a wallpaper accent wall for my older daughter’s room, which I LOVE, but I wanted to go with something a little different for the nursery. So, I decided to go with a shiplap accent wall and it was probably the best decision I made throughout the entire process. I now want to shiplap our entire house ;) If you’re contemplating doing an accent wall in your nursery/ bedroom, my advice would be to DO IT.
In addition to the farmhouse feel, I added in a bit of vintage floral and blush accent pieces. The floral crib mobile is definitely my favorite decor piece of the nursery. It is a bit on the pricier end, but I can’t express enough how beautiful and high quality it is. We decided to put a daybed in the nursery for all of the late nights my husband and I would take turns doing, which also gave me an opportunity to mix in some color by adding throw pillows and blankets. What I love about this daybed is that it’s both timeless and functional; we plan to get a lot of use out of it between the girls and guests in the future.
