I am a stay at home mom of five children. My favorite thing to decorate are children’s room. They can be fun, colorful, and inexpensive.

Colorful Sunshine Girls Room

I wanted to create something bright and colorful for my daughters room.  I found a mural on Pinterest that inspired me for the rest of the room.  I painted the mural on my daughter’s wall and used the same paint colors in the rest of her room.  I refinished an old bed and found the perfect sunshine yellow dresser at Savers.  My husband created an amazing reading loft for her above her door.  We put a king size mattress up there and it is a hot spot for reading and sleepovers with her friends.  It is hard not to smile when you walk into this room!

Josie’s Sweet Oranges

After having three boys in a row I was finally having a baby girl!  I couldn’t wait to create a beautiful girls nursery for my daughter, Josie.  I like to pick out one thing I love and then design the room around it. Most of the time the item is some type of textile.  I found a fabric with oranges on it that inspired me to create this warm, boho styled room.  I hand painted the oranges on her wall so I could pick the exact paint color I wanted them done in verses using wallpaper.  I also wanted to add some natural elements in her room.   I found a cute and easy DIY bookshelf project off Pinterest and added cane webbing to a natural wood IKEA bookshelf.  I love how much the bookshelves  add to the room.  I also decided to mix in a dusty rose color because I love the color so much.  I double layered her curtains to create more softness in her room.  Every time I walk into her room it makes me happy!
