Hi, my name is Mindy Ramsay. I have two beautiful boys in my life, my husband Rob and my baby boy Blake, and our newest addition to the family, Brinley Lou. We live in sunny Florida with no plans to move where it's cold. I traded in my working profession to be a stay at home mommy.

Oh TWOdles! Minnie Mouse Birthday Party

My daughter LOVES Minnie Mouse, so what better theme to pick than Minnie Mouse for her 2nd birthday party. “Oh toodles” is a main line from The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse so we used the line “Oh TWOdles” because my daughter was turning two. Since my daughter’s name is Brinley and we call her Brinny most of the time, we used “Brinny Mouse” instead of Minnie Mouse. Everything seems to line up to the theme of Minnie Mouse. We used light pink and sparkly gold for the colors.
I’m a crafter at heart so I made most of the decor for the party. My silhouette cutting machine is my best friend while making party decor. I made the invites and all the signs used for the party. I also made the Minnie Mouse centerpieces (saw them on Pinterest and had to make them!!! lol). Brinny’s Bow-tique was the title for party favor table, there were Mickey Mouse ears with an option of adding a light pink bow to make them Minnie Mouse ears since we had both boys and girls at the party. The girls also got a pearl necklace that had a light pink bow hanging on it. The party was held at the end of November so we had all the kids (and adults) make Mickey and Minnie Mouse ornaments to hang on their Christmas trees at home. I also sew for fun and made my daughter’s Minnie Mouse outfit to match the party! So much for a simple birthday party…

Brinley’s 1st Birthday Party

The theme of the birthday party was based around a dollie I purchased off Project Nursery’s shop. I fell in love with the doll the second I saw it and knew right away I wanted to theme my daughter’s 1st birthday party after it. I used all the colors for the party from the different fabrics in the doll, from the mint colored fabric with pink flowers to the white fabric with gold polka-dots. I was able to find the same fabrics used on the dollie to make Brinley an outfit and to make other decor for the party. The pink paper flowers were inspired by the pink flowers in the mint fabric. The gold polka-dots from the doll’s tights were used throughout the party. And since I made a little tutu for the dollie, I added ballerina touches to the party as well. Each little girl that attended the birthday was given a tutu as a party favor and all the little boys indulged in a candy buffet of pink, mint and gold treats. And because I LOVE desserts, there had to be a dessert station (for the adults of course!). I definitely had fun planning my sweet little daughter’s birthday party all thanks to that adorable dollie!

Fun, Fresh and Feminine Flower Nursery

The first item I purchased for the nursery was the bedding. I absolutely feel in love with it! The crib, nursery chair and dresser were passed down from Brinley’s older brother who is 3 now.The rest of the decor seemed to fall into place. The flowers on the wall were my mom’s idea, she saw a nursery at a client’s house that had them and told me about them… With my love for crafting I made a bunch of paper flowers myself. The bow and headband holders were made by my super talented and also very crafty best friend.
