A Butterfly Bloom Nursery

This nursery was painted by Anu, the proud mama of a baby girl and blogger behind Kalai Ulagam.  When this expecting mama found out she was having a baby girl, she was beyond excited.  She painted the walls a lovely shade of green similar to Benjamin Moore’s sweet daphne 529.   The yellow-green delivers a reliable pop of refreshing color that is bold but not too bright.  To add interest to the walls, Anu decided to decorate an accent wall with a stencil.  She selected the Butterfly Bloom No. 2, a fun and feminine stencil pattern.  She painted the butterfly stencil in a color similar to Benjamin Moore’s simply white OC-117.  Anu had this to say about her butterfly stencil, “this is my favorite in the whole room :)” Awe, so sweet.  Once the stencil was complete, she purchased her furniture from Pottery Barn Kids and a rug from Ikea.

Will’s Modern Woodland Nursery

This modern woodland nursery was completed by Katie, the mama to an adorable little boy named Will and creative DIYer behind the blog Haute Apple Pie. Traditional boy themes like trucks and sports did not fit the couples personality.  She said, “Knowing that this kid will probably spend tons of time outside, I’ve been trying to put together ideas for a room that my outdoorsy husband will love too.  I want it to feel soothing, but bright and whimsical but not too baby.”  Once she had a vision in mind, she started putting together an inspiration board for a modern woodland themed nursery.
