Mini Nursery in a Master Bedroom

We found out we were pregnant with baby #3 while in the thick of restoring our 120 year old historic home. We didn’t want to undertake the hassle of converting an entire room into a nursery for a little more than a year, so we decided to create a “mini nursery” in the attic dormer of our third floor master bedroom! I really love how it turned out and how we were able to utilize special items like mini cribs and heirloom furniture pieces to make a gender neutral space that works while we need it but can later be repurposed throughout our home.

Lucy’s Bright + Colorful Puppy Pawty!

When my almost-three-year-old requested a “puppy party”, I got right to work! Lots of bright, fun colors and summery vibes made this pawesome winter birthday party one for the books. Almost everything here came from Hobby Lobby or was DIYed, so it’s all completely affordable and perfect for any toddler! Easily make this party ready for a boy by changing the themes colors.

Lucy’s Tropical Toddler Room

This is my daughter Lucy’s tropical themed toddler room! I was inspired by my love of Lilly Pulitzer and chose to incorporate flamingos and pineapples along with lots of fun, bright colors. Her dresser was a mid-century modern Craigslist steal which I painted Bay Coral by Glidden and restored the original hardware. Flamingo sheets and fun pineapple pillows keep this room looking playful and perfect for a toddler or big girl. The gallery wall is definitely my favorite part! I wanted Lucy to have lots of pictures of her family and some inspirational quotes (including one from the Little Mermaid!) that she can grow into, and of course the taxidermy flamingo makes a fun statement. We chose an ombre mint rug and mint curtains to offset the coral in the dresser and bedding.
