I wanted our downstairs playroom to be happy and bright for our 4-year-old son and 1-year-old daughter.  We are big readers, so we wanted a comfy couch to be the cornerstone of the room.  The padded playmat provided a safe area during the baby days, while the art and music nooks continue to occupy both kids for long periods of time.  The print above the bookcase provides a nice focal point and is actually a framed piece of wrapping paper (cheap art, woohoo!)  It’s hard not to feel happy in this sunny, colorful space!
