Woodland White Nursery

Liam’s nursery was inspired by an adorable giraffe in a bowtie we found shopping on the day we found out the baby’s gender.  I remember seeing the stuffed animal and thinking how adorable it would be to find a bunch of cute animals dressed up like people! Kind of quirky, right?!  Well, I was in luck, and found Hello Small World, an adorable etsy shop, which had the exact woodland animals we were looking for.  A friend of ours even designed an illustration to incorporate Liam’s puppy brother, Walter Wheat, to go alongside the rest of the animals.
As for the nursery’s overall look and feel, I wanted the room to be a calm and serene place.  We painted three walls an ivory color, and with the help of my dad and my husband, the wall that Liam’s crib rests against is a striped wall with two different paint finishes of the same color: Benjamin Moore “Breath of Fresh Air.”  I spray painted wood letters spelling “LIAM” to hang above his crib.
The rug is soft and plush and perfect for tummy time!  Our nursery furniture is white and traditional, perfect to be reused for future children we hope to be fortunate to have.  The light is from pottery barn and I’ve noticed it seems to be an extremely popular one!
We hope you enjoy our nursery as much as we enjoyed styling it.
