Dave & Heather here. We are two recovering urbanites who recently relocated with the hopes of re-charging our batteries in the "country" outside Washington DC. Dave's an engineer, and Heather's a physical therapist, and we both have always loved a little R&R...home "rehabilitation" and "renovation". We've devoted much of our seven years of wedded (more or less) bliss to buying and restoring homes. It's been both exhilarating, and completely exhausting, but we wouldn't have it any other way.

Yellow Damask Girl’s Bedroom

A girly remodel for our daughter’s room in our cape cod style home. A challenge for us was an existing bump out on the wall under the large window with half moon top. We decided to built bookshelves and a window bench over that bump out in order to make some sense of it’s presence, since it had to stay.
