Hanna McDougall

Hi, I'm Hanna! I own an interior design company called, Lace and Grace Interiors. Since having my own children, I've discovered that designing children's room is something I am very passionate about. I think it is so important for all kids to have a space that is designed in great detail, with them in mind. I want all my children clients to have a space that demonstrates the things they love and cherish.

Blushing Girls Room

This room has me wanting to be a young girl all over again! I designed this bedroom to be a surprise (per request of her parents, my clients) for a talented young lady that need a more “grown-up girl” bedroom. The highlight for me was when she got up the first morning after we “revealed” her room to her and she told her stepmom: “I brought my glass down from my room because I want it to stay perfect.” Mission accomplished.
The starting off piece for this room was the Gemma Campaign Style Dresser from Pottery Barn Kids. The brass pulls and hardware give an immediate sense of glam. Next we found the floral print called “Bed of Roses” from Pottery Barn Teen’s Emily and Meritt collection. We used that print on the desk chair to be a statement piece and then added a couple euro shams on the bed. From that point, all the details just feel into place! Blush, gold and white accents were strategically placed around the room to complete the feminine and modern look.
