Jacob’s Very Hungry Caterpillar First Birthday Party

Jacob (and mommy!) love Eric Carle’s “The Very Hungry Caterpillar,” so it was a perfect theme for his first birthday party! This party was relatively low-budget and full of DIY projects!

Jacob’s Colorful Playroom

We gave Jacob his very own play room as part of his first birthday present. This is a relatively small space, as one wall of the room consists of our home office (not finished yet), so I wanted to pack in a lot of storage, display many of his cute toys, and also leave plenty of open space for playing! I also wanted an area for creating — hence the little table and the large chalkboard. This room is very budget-friendly, too!
