Bloom Designs Online

I am Jenny Raulli, editor and everything else of Bloom Design Online. As a former elementary teacher and art history major, my passion for parties, paper, personalized, pretty came from being a stay at home mommy to four little ones under ten. We have a lot of parties at our house! Party styling was a perfect combination of my former life. My blog is filled with holiday ideas, party planning tips and ways to make each day a bit more personal.

Shake, Rattle and Roll Baby Shower

I was so excited and honored to plan and host a baby shower for my sister, Nicole, who is having her first baby.  Nicole came up with the theme of the party, Shake, Rattle and Roll and I created the images to fit each of the words in the theme- a bottle, rattle and carriage. I tried to use the shake, rattle and roll idea in all parts of the party.  Since Nicole is the writer of a fashion blog, Nicole’s Guide To Style, I wanted the shower to be feminine, sophisticated and modern just like her fashion tastes.

Baby B’s 1st Birthday

When my dear friend, Tracy, asked me to do the printables and dessert table for her son, Brendan’s first birthday, I was so honored. Tracy has amazing style and knew exactly the feel she wanted for Baby B’s party- modern, classy with a little bit of vintage. Tracy had picked the graphic marigold fabric for the tablecloth on the dessert table and wanted to use burlap and twine accents. She made the adorable paper mache bees for decorations and centerpieces and wrapped tin cans with twine to continue the vintage feel on the tables. For the dessert table, I stuck to treats that fit our gold, burlap and white color scheme. Yummy treats included beehive s’mores, caramel cheesecake shooters, honey popcorn, lemon parfaits, and store bought Oreo Cakesters decorate with chocolate stripes. The kids loved the bit of honey treat bags and honey taffy. For the backdrop picture, I simply sent the image of the bee that we used on the invitations to my local printer who enlarged it to fit our frame. The small frame on the table is a list of the many virtues Tracy and her husband, Charlie, wish for their son.Guest left with bumble gum tubes and Mason jars that Tracy had planted with sunflower seeds and a tag reminding them to “bee patient”. All the banners and labels were in the shape of a honeycomb. The entire bee collection including invitation, labels, banner, water bottle wraps, juice box covers and more is available for purchase at http://etsy.com/shop/bloomdesignsonline.

“Spa”rty

I was hosting my daughter 9th birthday. She had a fabulous “spa”rty complete with facials, make your own bath salts and spa shoes and even a dip in the pool thanks to the California weather. For lunch, the girls dined on “spa”wiches, curlers, pumpkin peel fruit salad, “spa”rfaits, seaweed wraps and drank from the milk bath. Then “treat”ments included bit of honey masks, cotton ball donuts, cucumber eye pad gummies, nail files, lipsticks, body scrub rock candy and bubble bath gum balls. Our guests left with personalized make-up bags. Just another relaxing day at the spa for our nine year old.
