Boho Chic – Girl’s Nursery

Like a breath of fresh air this nursery soothes and calms our senses. Not bad for a space that requires lots of moments where sleep is the main goal.

“It’s been a lifesaver as I work full time, have two kids, 3 if you count my husband, blog on the side and am more exhausted with every passing day. ” –Christine Y.

California Dreamin’ – Soothing Gender Neutral Nursery

The trend for youthful spaces to mirror the design style of a homeowner’s main living spaces – which just so happens to play out nicely in my Chicago client’s nursery.
“I have a California vibe in my home and I really wanted to bring that through to the nursery.” – Jeannine Benoit Adams, founder of Ready Pretty
I’m thrilled to share this no fuss, California sun and sand lifestyle inspired nursery. Our client, a real busy working mom, took advantage of YouthfulNest’s time-saving virtual design services to transform her guest room into a serene baby room. To accomplish her vision we curated furnishings and décor in lots of white, neutrals and a few muted colors. Completing the look are pieces in natural wood finishes. Not only is this a sea glass gem, it also includes various pieces that promote superior functionality, convenience and/or safety.
We want moms and other caregivers to feel as comfortable and confident in their baby rooms as they would in any other room in their home. We believe this room exemplifies that goal.

Transitioned Big Boy Bedroom

I knew it was time to makeover my son’s nursery after removing the changing pad and baby toiletries from the changing area. My son has also developed quite the interest in cars, it’s beyond toy cars. He loves flipping through car mags with dad and can name almost any model that drives by us on the road or he’s sees parked on the street. I really wanted to bring in “some” of his love of four wheel vehicles into his personal space. Especially since we don’t do toys in the bedroom.
We took our time and didn’t race through the process and both mom and kiddo are champions of this new space. For  five simple makeover tips for a smooth transition from the nursery into that more mature space check out our blog post 5 Tips Transition From Nursery to Big Kid Bedroom.
