Jaycie’s Girly Peach, Gray and White Nursery

Sweet peach….it’s a girly room with soft gray walls, white linen, and peach accents. It was a DIY project and a labor of love for the entire family…my husband and I hand painted all the furniture (except crib), and I handmade the chandelier and mobile.  My 13 year old daughter and I made the photo frames and other accessories.

Liam’s Colorful Chevron Nursery

I really wanted Liam to have a fun room. I am a big fan of bright colors, and wanted to incorporate especially a lot of yellow and red. I love, love, love crafting, so there’s a lot in here that I just made/repurposed/designed myself. I didn’t really have a specific ‘budget’, just that I wanted to be as thrifty as possible here. (Having a baby gets expensive, after all! I wanted to make our dollars stretch!) By learning a few new skills–aka picking up sewing for the first time in my life, scouring Craigslist endlessly, thrifting, & shopping at discount stores (Ross, TJ Maxx, etc.) and Amazon, I was able to put this entire room together for under $500 It definitely took a lot more time/work than just buying all brand-new, fancy things, but to me it was a labor of love + it’s more unique and more my style.

A traditional, peaceful nursery for our first baby  boy.

Maddie’s Nursery

As soon I knew we were having a girl I knew I wanted a feminine room without the pink overload.  Most of the inspiration pictures that I was drawn to seemed to have aqua and grey in them.  I incorporated several different patterns that I loved into this room.

Nautical Nursery on a Budget

I’m a first time mom and nursery decorator. I wasn’t super impressed with the “boy-themed rooms in a box” options so I created my own design inspiration.

Ariella’s Coral and Aqua Nursery

Ariella’s nursery is a soothing oasis of coral pink, pale aqua, and bright white, & combines many hand crafted items from artists across the country.  The main focal wall stencil behind the crib is a uniquely Moroccan pattern, but when combined with other traditional and vintage shapes, it takes on a whole new style of its own.  Custom painted vintage frames hung above the changing table create a second focal point of their own without competing with the main feature wall, and simple details pull the room together for a cohesive look.
