Wall stripes

This is our baby girl’s nursery and it is my favorite room in our entire house.

Teresa’s nursery is whimsical and sweet without being too girly. I tried to use different textures and patterns, delicate images and references. We were on a limited budget, but it’s incredible how much you can do! The painting was done by my mother-in-law, the dresser refinished by my husband, and lots of DIY projects. Each project made us so proud! It took time, energy and love to make this dream nursery for baby Teresa.

What started out as a mellow, sea blue, sandy beige and white, beach inspired nursery concept for our first little one, evolved into a unique room with more pop when my husband said something like, “It is a kid’s room after all…a little more color wouldn’t hurt.” I was concerned that the room would be too boring initially, so once he said this it confirmed the direction I wanted to take.  This room was a very bland guest room waiting for a baby and itching to be transformed.
