Milo’s Creative Cabin

Our mission with this nursery was to create a fun, functional space that was true to our personalities. A lot of time and thought went into each and every detail. We had DIY projects, we re-purposed old furniture and shopped for unique items to use as accessories. We placed an emphasis on developing a place that will inspire Milo to be the creative, fun-loving child we hope him to be and we did it!

Liv’s Lounge

Liv’s Lounge is a whimsy mix of modern and shabby chic. I am all about color, different textures & patterns and unique design. I really wanted her room to be something that will grow with her. I don’t care for baby-ish themes so I just started buying pieces that struck my fancy. Luckily, by accident, everything came together perfectly! I couldn’t be more pleased with the final product!

Ava’s Eclectic Nursery

I wanted to give our youngest a room that could grow with her, and was not too frilly. Lavender was a big leap of faith for me, I tend to stay on the more earthy/neutral side of the color wheel. But my oldest daughter convinced me lavender was ‘It”! This nursery was also done on a budget with lots of bargain hunting. I never settled for less than top quality, just waited for sales & steals!

Eli’s Rockin’ Party

My husband is a musician, so when we had little Elijah it was just assumed that we would have a little rockstar on our hands… We wanted to create an epic 1st birthday to show how much joy he’s added to our life. We started with concert tickets (from amazon.com) for the invites. The decor was so much fun. We had a red carpet (of course!) for the guests to walk up when they arrived. What hoppin’ club doesnt have a few bouncers?? My husband (AKA security) stood at the front door, where the kids received their backstage passes and their names were crossed off the VIP list… The rooms were filled with balloons, red, purple, and zebra everything. As far as food went we went very simple- pizza, fruit, and salad. We made cupcakes for all 60 guests with some really fun toppers. I made the birthday boy his own guitar cake which he loved. He wore his hair in a mohawk, red shirt, vest, skinny jeans, converse, and (drum roll please…) little baby tattoo sleeves! We have such an easy going group of friends there wasn’t much need for activities. We did play “rock trivia” and the winner won an iTunes gift card. It was so much fun and such a perfect way to celebrate a true rockstar!!

Twists on a Classic

A classic nursery with attention to unique details combines to create a crisp room fit for a sweet baby boy. The paper airplane wall decal zips across the room to create a sense of whimsy. The white furniture sharply contrasts with the deep hues of the hardwood floors creating a crisp clean feeling. The funky sillhouettes take a playful approach to the family heritage and it’s all tied together with a mint green rug with white polka dots. http://www.maxbentleychronicles.blogspot.com/
