Train Themed 3rd Birthday
My sweet little boy turned 3 on June 25th and we celebrated with a train themed birthday party. He is absolutely obsessed with trains so the theme was perfect!

Railroad nursery for a little boy
This nursery was designed and decorated not knowing the gender of our baby. We used various shades of grey with splashes of bright yellow to make the room lively and inviting.
We made Avett’s room a yellow and gray vintage train room.
Choo! Choo! Jasper is 2! Jasper’s 2nd birthday party!
My goal was a Montessori-inspired bedroom in reds and browns, light and airy and entirely at the child’s level.
Choo Choo Arron is three! A fun and creative party for a train loving boy!
In anticipation of his baby sister’s moving into the nursery, we created a big-boy bedroom for my son. Some of the items moved with him from the nursery; others were thrifted; others were purchased new and one iconic feature, a reverse-stenciled dresser, was DIYed.
My husband and I met at Purdue and the gender of the baby will be a surprise, so we decided on a Black and Gold Boiler Up Baby theme. You can see more of our Nursery on the blog: http://www.alattewithotta.com/2012/03/part-3-boiler-up-baby-nursery-reveal.html
Baby shower for a boy
A fun train themed party with a modern twist of red, blue and aqua. While our inspiration was Thomas the Tank Engine, there were no cartoon characters actually used. The party took place in our backyard and the real excitement came when a trackless train gave rides around the neighborhood!
