The playroom I created for my son is a place where he can explore , use his imagination and just have fun!

Jessie wanted a girly, fun space to do homework and play. She is a talented artist, so she needed a place to create and display her work. The playroom is connected to her bedroom so they two spaces relate to each other through the use of paint and pattern.
I wanted to create a neutral gender space. It had to be fun, joyful and at the mean time stimulate kids imagination and creativity. It’s also a very easy to achieve project, on a budget with minimal DIY.
I wanted to design a room for growing toddlers with their own spaces, and also room for mom and dad to be comfortable without feeling like we own a daycare!
We turned a John Deere room in our basement into a bright and cheerful playroom inspired by the colors in Dr. Seuss’s “Oh The Places You’ll Go.” This room had to be done quickly and on a tight budget, and be transitional for kids from newborn to elementary-age.
We transformed our upstairs bonus room over the garage into our 2 year old daughter’s playroom! I handmade so many of the things in this room, mainly the decor/fabrics from her 1st birthday party that I didn’t want to go to waste! Done on a strict budget and also serves as a hang-out room in the evenings for adults/friends and as a guest room.
